Craig - On Jaywalking

Defensive drivers ruined my life. I was a very law abiding child, when i was 5 i cried because i forgot to pay for some candy. But then i was lured into crime by these strangers in cars. They had the right of way, but they slowed down and waved me across. I didn't think i was hooked, but that is just how they get you. Before long i was jaywalking everywhere. My friends realized it was becoming a problem when i would jaywalk just so i could jaywalk back across the street. I was living life on the edge. Somehow still i hungered for more dangerous crimes, so i started driving. I was reckless, driving more than 5 over the limit, blowing through yellow lights, pulling U-turns. I was all over the place, but still evaded the police, and what would have most certainly been hard jail time. It wasn't long before the Calgary scene began to bore me, so i went to the Amsterdam or jaywalking and bad driving, Maracaibo Venezuela. It was going to be marvelous, then i had the wind knocked out of my sails, I found out i was not able to drive. I once again got hooked on jaywalking, the South American jaywalking experience is so much more pure, and thus dangerous. It wasn't long before i was weaving in and out of cars all day long. i became so focused on jaywalking, that my school work was suffering, as was my social life.
"Craig couldn't function during the day until he got his jaywalking fix." Remembers an old friend of Craig's. "Even drinking was never enough, after the bar he would wildly jaywalk, it really scared me when he started mixing the two."
This cycle of crime, and jaywalking abuse would have continued if it had not been for one fateful night.
"I was driving my taxi down El Milagro, and then this crazy gringo jumps out infront of me." -the Taxi Guy
Yes i finally jaywalked once more than my body could take. As i was being knocked back by the cab, it was like a ray of light decending from heaven, and it was quite clear what i had to do. I got back up waited for the appropriate time to cross, and then stepped off the curb, it was the first step to turning my life around...
