Aren't You Glad You Didn't Turn on the Light?
A girl who went back to her dorm room late one night to get her books before heading to her boyfriend's dorm room for the night. She entered, but did not turn on the light, knowing that her roommate was sleeping. She stumbled around the room in the dark for several minutes, gathering books, clothes, toothbrush, etc. before finally leaving. The next day, she came back to her room to find it surrounded by police. They asked if she lived there and she said yes. They took her into her room, and there, written in blood on the wall, were the words, "Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the light?" Her roommate was being murdered while she was getting her things.
Face In the Window
This girl was home all alone watching TV on a cold winter night. The television was right beside a sliding glass door, and the blinds were open. Suddenly she saw a wrinkled old man staring at her through the glass! She screamed, then grabbed the phone next to the couch and pulled a blanket over her head so the guy couldn't see her while she called the police. She was so terrified that she remained under the blanket until the police got there. It had snowed a lot during the day, so the police naturally decided to look for footprints. But there were no footprints at all on the snowy ground outside the sliding door. Puzzled, the police went back inside the house and that's when they saw the wet footprints on the floor leading up to the couch where the girl was still sitting. The policemen looked at each other nervously. "Miss, you're extremely lucky," one of them finally said to her. "Why?" she asked. "Because," he said, "the man wasn't outside at all. He was in here, standing right behind the couch! What you saw in the window was his reflection."
The Dead Boyfriend
A woman and her boyfriend were on their way home from somewhere (not important) one night, and suddenly his car ran out of gas. It was about one in the morning and they were completely alone in the middle of the nowhere. The guy stepped out of the car, saying comfortingly to his girlfriend, "Don't worry, I'll be right back. I'm just going to go out for some help. Lock the doors, though." She locked the doors and sat restlessly, waiting for her boyfriend to come back. Suddenly, she sees a shadow fall across her lap. She looks up to see... not her boyfriend, but a strange, crazed looking man. He is swinging something in his right hand. He sticks his face close to the window and slowly pulls up his right hand. In it is her boyfriend's decapitated head, twisted horribly in pain and shock. She shuts her eyes in horror and tries to make the image go away. When she opens her eyes, the man is still there, grinning psychotically. He slowly lifts his left hand, and he is holding her boyfriend's keys. To the car.
Buried Alive!
My great-great grandmother, ill for quite some time, finally passed away after laying in a coma for several days. My great-great grandfather was devastated beyond belief as she was his one true love and they had been married over 50 years. They were married so long that it seemed as if they knew each other's innermost thoughts. After the Doctor pronounced her dead, my great-great Grandfather insisted that she was not. They had to literally pry him away from his wife's body so they could ready her for burial. Now, back in those days they had backyard burial plots and did not drain the body of its fluids. They simply prepared a proper coffin and committed the body (in its coffin) to its permanent resting place. Throughout this process, my great-great grandfather protested so fiercely that he had to be sedated and put to bed. His wife was buried and that was that. That night he woke to a horrific vision of his wife hysterically trying to scratch her way out of the coffin. He phoned the doctor immediately and begged to have his wife's body exhumed. The doctor refused, but my great-great grandfather had this nightmare every night for a week, each time frantically begging to have his wife removed from the grave. Finally the doctor gave in and, together with local authorities, exhumed the body. The coffin was pried open and to everyone's horror and amazement, my great-great grandmother's nails were bent back and there were obvious scratches on the inside of the coffin.
Ring Ring!
A Babysitter, back in the 80s, was left in charge of minding 3 small Children. She put them all to bed and then went downstairs, and sat in front of the TV with a can of Coke. Not long after, the phone rang. She answered it, and all she heard was a Mans voice, laughing hysterically. She immediately hung up, presuming it was just a Prank Caller. She went and sat down on the Sofa again, and just as she had, the phone rang again. She lifted the receiver, this time the voice on the other end said "Better Check on the Children!" and then she heard the same, hysteric laughter. In a panic, she ran upstairs to the Childrens bedrooms, only to find them still asleep in their beds. She went back downstiars, even more convinced that it was just a practical joke, and turned the TV Volume up louder, and decided to ignore any other phone calls. But a few minutes later, the phone did ring again. The girl wasn't sure whether to answer it or not- it could be the pranker, but there was a chance that it may be the Children's parents asking how everything was. So she risked it, and answered the phone. Again, she heard the same hysteric laughter. She turned the TV volume up even louder, but the phone continued to ring. Eventually, she decided to call the Operator, and to a track on the phonecalls. She told the Operator of the situation, and the Operator said that she would get the call tracked, and then call back. So the Babysitter sat down in front of the TV and waited. Within a few minutes, the phone rang again. This time, it was the operator. The operator screamed down the Telephone "Quick! Get out of the house! I've notified the Police they'll be there soon! Just get out of the House!" Confused, the Babysitter did as she was told. Within minutes, the Police arrived. She kept asking what was going on, what was happening. Some Police Officers ran inside the house, while another advised the Babysitter to sit down while he explained the situation. She found out, that they had traced the calls, and they were coming from the other phone line in the Parent's bedroom upstairs! She was lucky to be alive! But then when one of the Police officers came out of the house, she found out the worst news of all... when she had turned the Volume up on the TV, she didn't hear the children screaming from upstairs. The lunatic had murdered them all!
Disney Deaths
The Disney Theme Parks Are Always Associated With Fun, for many of us. However, over the years, they have played host to no less than 8 deaths! In 1964, 15 year old Mark Maples was riding the Mattahorn Bobsled at Disneyland. During the ride, his friend, as a joke, unbuckled Mapels seatbelt, and due to the speed of the ride, Maples was thrown out of the bobsled onto the track, where he fractured his skull and died soon after! The next casualty was in 1966, when a nineteen year old decided to try to get into the Theme Park- free of charge. He climbed up the outter fence of the park, and then lept across to the Monorail track- unluckily for him, a Monorail was approaching! He was struck down and dragged 50 feet along the track, before his body fell to the ground! Only a year later, in 1967, 17 year old Ricky Lee Yama, was dared to jump from one 'People Mover' cart to another. Being a slow moving ride- he thought he could make it: needless to say, if he did make it, this story wouldn't be here! He slipped, and his neck was crushed by the wheels of the people mover. In 1973, two brothers decided to stay in Disneyland after closing time. They hid on Tom Sawyer Island, and then when the park had been closed up, they attempted to swim across the Rivers of America to Frontierland, where they thought they could ride the rides, without queues (how dumb is that?). Though the younger brother made it to shore, the older brother was never seen again! A High School Student, in 1980, was also killed in a people mover accident, like Ricky Lee Yama. He attempted to jump from one cart to another, but got his foot caught in the wheel of the people mover, and was dragged over 100 feet before eventually falling fatally to the ground. In 1983, Philip Straughn had been drinking quite heavily, before going to Disneyland with friends for the evening. One of his friends then located a speedboat which held the sign STAFF ONLY on the side. For fun, Philip and his friend boarded the speedboat and set out down the Rivers of America. Philip, who was drunk, steered the boat, but collided soon with a Rock near Tom Sawyer island, and was sent flying out of the boat, into the water. His body wasn't located until morning. Only a year later, in 1984, a 48 year old woman was killed on the Mattahorn Bobsled. During the ride, her belt buckle snapped and she was flung onto the Bobsled track, where another bobsled collided with her, and her head was pinned beneath its wheels and dragged 20 feet. At the next death, on Christmas Eve, 1998, I (Total Sweetiedarling) was present at Disneyland. A rope used to secure the Sailing Ship Colombia, as it docked, tore loose the cleat that it was attatched to, and it knocked two guests over the head. One of them, died two days later in Hospital.
