This house is near where I live. I couldn't get a better angle because I didn't want the people inside to start whoopin and hollering and shooting at me with buckshot.

The Bible Belt's version of the Hagia Sophia?

A closer look.

Another impressive church, at least from the outside.

Because redundancy is exciting!

Asheville has the most Art Deco buildings "east of the Mississippi", and this is one of my favorites, the Asheville City Building.

Entrance to the county building, located adjacent to the City Building.

An artsy angle experiment gone awry! It won't be the last of my aesthetic Frankenpics.

A more traditional view of the County Building.

Another Frankenpic. This one had the added benefit of almost blinding me.

Photography 101 - Take pictures with the sun behind you!

Sometimes disobeying the rules can be worthwhile, the sun rays give the church a more ethereal feel.

The sunlight in this picture is as impressive as the church.

The first church was compared to the Hagia Sophia, then this is an obvious homage to Kremlin!
