| Now you're all probably wondering the same thing...Rachel and Chandler?! I know. Not really a couple that has a very 'romantic' connection. But to be honest, I must say that Rachel Green and Chandler Bing are my two favourite characters on Friends. Don't get me wrong, I'm possibly the hugest Chandler and Monica fan out there, and am thrilled to pieces that they finally got married. But I thought it would be cool to put up a site on something unique that hasn't really been done before. I got the idea for creating an unconventional shipper site by looking at TOW Joey and Rachel, a great site about those two characters. So I thought it would be really neat to create something totally new and really unconventional. Rachel Green...hmmm, what can I say about Rachel. Well, I had an immediate bond with her from the start, my name's Rachel, also. Then, of course, being the Friends fanatic that I am, I HAD to get 'the Rachel' haircut. Another thing that I have in common with Rachel is that I love clothes. I dream of becoming a fashion designer or possibly working for one. Rachel is just full of so much life and I love that. She's become her own person completely on her own, without the help of Daddy or his credit cards. The relationships that she has with each of her friends are very close and hers are almost always touching storylines. Jennifer Aniston is an amazing actress with the ability to make us laugh and cry, even at the same time. And Rachel, she is the kind of character that I just love. Chandler Bing is the sweetest, funniest, most lovable, and until recently, possibly the most commitment-phobic character on TV. Chandler has always made me laugh, and when he is with Monica, you can see a vulnerablity and a kind heart that are usually masked by his quippy sarcasm. Matthew Perry is so adorable and has a charm about him that just shines through and bursts out on the screen. I don't know what it is about Chandler or Matthew that made me just fall in love with them, but I know that there are many other fans out there who feel the same way. I don't really want to see a romantic pairing of Chandler and Rachel. That is not the reason I built this site. I have always loved Ross and Rachel together and Chandler and Monica together and I always will. These are characters that I love and I wanted to create a site dedicated solely to the two of them. They make us all laugh and I hope that they continue to do so for several more years. ~*Rachel*~ |
