Explain file types and sizes of PDF and other web files



What is a PDF file?

A PDF file is a portable document that can be saved. It is very internet friendly.

What is required to view a PDF?

Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view a PDF.

What does PDF stand for?

PDF stands for Portable Document Format.

How can you create a PDF?

The way to create a PDF is to create a presentation and then save it as a PDF.

Can you edit a PDF easily?

You can easily edit a PDF. You can edit it on the internet through the acrobat reader by downloading it and then modifying it on your computer. You can also open it in the open office, presentation, and modify it there.

How did I create my last PDF?

The way I created my last PDF was I created a power point presentation and saved it as a PDF. Then I uploaded it to my website.

Why did I chose the PDF format?

I chose the PDF format because it was the only type of format I could get to load properly on my index page. It was the only type of file that was valid for that type of program in this case.

What advantages does it have over other file types?

A PDF can be moved, modified, and changed to a different file type easily and simply. Other file types are more difficult to change and modify. Plus PDF files are readable on any operating system.

What are some other web document formats?

Some other web document formats are jpg, jif, html, and htm

What is the difference between Acrobat reader and the full Acrobat program?

The difference between Acrobat reader and the full program is the full program has a catalog feature that allows the user to build an index for one or more PDF files.
