| When there is a gleam of hope, life appears so much brighter! When the hope is drained from you, life is so bleak. It almost seems senseless to "hope", because hope - in itself - holds no power. It does not guarantee or even offer solutions. Hope is like a carrot dangling in front of your face, taunting you. It lays in wait until it completely disappears and then it mocks you as you try to pick yourself up to search for another carrot. Hope must be combined with knowledge and perseverance. The trilogy contains the power. Without hope there would be no motivation to persevere. |
