Faith VS Hope (c) Nicole Hall 2003

What is the difference?

For with hope, there is no faith and with faith, there is no hope.
If you have faith, there is no need for hope.
Hope is only needed for things you do not yet have.

Why do we despair when things seem hopeless?
When we put our trust in hope, we gamble.
When the hope is gone, we have nothing left.

To have faith is to have confidence,
it is the evidence in the existance of something.

Hope can fail, hope can hurt, hope is seen.

Faith never fails, faith is unseen. Faith just is.

When I walk upon the ground, I never give thought to the earth giving way. I have faith - a strong conviction - I am convinced that my footing is safe. I walk without giving it any thought. That is faith. Faith is not something I strive for because if I have faith, I don't know that I lack faith.

Faith gives me confidence.
Faith exists, yet is unseen.
Faith exists, yet we don't even give thought to its existance.
When you have faith, you don't have to think about it.
It just is.
Without question.

When I walk across a rickety bridge, I HOPE that it will not give way under my feet.
Each step that I take is with caution, with thought given to the consequences.
Hope is seen, therefore it is unstable.

Where there is no hope, there is no failure.
Where there is no hope, there are no tears.
Where there is no hope, there is no success.

Hope is selfish, Faith just is.
