My Hobbies & Interests
I stay outdoors as much as possible. I LOVE to fish! Mostly I fish for bass out of my 18 foot Sprint 286 Pro Tournament  bass boat on the lakes in the piedmont and foothills of both NC and VA.  But occasionally fish in SC and eastern NC, too. Sometimes I'll try the banks of the local ponds for what bites, and wade the area streams for trout. As much as I would like to fish 7 days a week, I can't afford it, so I only go to the lakes 2-3 times per month.

I fished competitively in tournaments with King BassMasters for 4 years, and won one tournament at Smith Mountain Lake in September 2001. I had several top 3 finishes, and I caught the big fish at least twice, once for the year in 1999. I qualified for the NC BASS Federation regionals every year that the club was affiliated. I gave it up because of the expense for now, but hope to get back to competitive fishing soon. It is a great way to learn, and I love the competion! I may try to fish in the
ABC tournaments this year.

I like to deer hunt, and I usually try to spend 5-10 days each year in the woods. However I usually sit and watch all of the animals play around me. I love venison, but don't have a freezer now, and therefore I haven't made a shot in 3 years, and that one one I gave to a needy family! I also like to hike and shoot, just for fun. I have a lifetime NC Sportsman's hunting and fishing license. I'm a member of BASS and the NRA. I'm against PETA!

I watch mostly CMT and sports on TV. NASCAR, football, both college and NFL, and ice hockey are my favorites. I read about 2-3 novels a week. My favorite authors are Zane Gray, Tami Hoag, Louis L'Arour, James Patterson, John Sanford, and Stuart Woods. I like to play most card and board games. Monopoly, Rook, Rummy, Scrabble, and Spades are my favorites. I listen to music all the time. I love country music and 80's rock, but like most everything else except rap and hip-hop.

I do all of my mom's and my own lawnwork and landscaping. I do most of my own auto repairs and home painting, repairs, and remodeling work. I enjoy just hanging out, and playing with my girls whenever and wherever that I can. Spring is softball season for them, and I'll be at the ballfield with them 5-6 days a week.
