What I Learned
From Being a Mother

"This Little Piggy" always gets a smile.

"It is so much fun
to see the world anew
through a toddler's eyes."

I wish I could take back
all the times I said,
"My child will never act like that."

There is nothing better
than a big wet kiss and hug.

The most glorious feeling in the world
is the unconditional love from
and for)
your child.

A kiss and hug from my baby
can make even the most horrendous day
bearable!

You do develop
a third eye in the back of your head.

My life
(which seemed exciting and full at the time)
was actually pretty boring
before I had a child.

It takes so much more patience
to be a good mom
than I ever dreamed it would.

I can be fully aware
of what bills need to be paid today,
how soon the sunscreen needs to be re-applied,
when dinner has to go in the oven,
while folding laundry,
kicking the ball to the baby
and knowing that the cat
is getting sick on the rug
and I have to clean it up,
but still manage to carry on
a cheerful conversation
with an old friend on the cordless phone!

I can eat a meal
in just under five seconds flat.

I really can
do three things at once.

I wasn't really busy BC
(before children)
when I used to complain that I was.
