| These are a few of the papers that I have written during the course of my theological studies. I present them here for the use of those who might be studying similar things -- to be analyzed and critiqued. Over time, I hope to update them and keep them in line with my growing knowledge. | This paper was written in the fall semester of my final year at Concordia University, Ann Arbor, as the culminating assignment for my Synoptic Gospels class with Dr. Jakob Heckert. It was my first attempt at an exegetical paper -- as would be obvious to any accomplished exegete, I am sure. In the paper, I studied the account of Jesus Christ's "Stilling of the Storm" as it appeared in the three Synoptic Gospels -- looking for evidence that would support a theory of literary independence among those gospels. | This paper, my senior project, was the culmination of my studies at Concordia University, Ann Arbor. As my second exegetical paper, it too will likely be found to contain many "fix-it" spots. In it I search through the Hebrew texts of the Old Testament to look for evidence to support a Trinitarian's claims regarding the nature of God. In the final pages of the paper, I also address the papers use as an evangelistic tool. Let me know what you think! |

| This paper was the first major paper I wrote in my time as an undergraduate student. It was written to go along with the Youth Mission Trip to Guatemala, of which I was part. In this paper, I attempt to analyze the Evangelism Program at St. Matthew Lutheran - its nature, its history, its goals. To do so, I bring in my own experiences within that program and as a missionary. |
