Music has been my passion for a long time. I have certainly changed in musical taste over the years, for the better or for the worse. I remember with great fondness the days of my youth when I would belt out the tune to whatever song I had heard on my elder siblings' or my parent's radio. My parents didn't listen to too much music, but whether it was my mother's gospel music or the occasional oldie played on my dad's talk radio, I liked it and sang to my heart's delight. As the years progressed, I discovered music on my own. My tendency was to like whatever my older brother liked, but that could only last for a while. I remember my first tape that I bought: Seven Mary Three...their first album "The American Standard." Since that time, some six years ago, I have moved from liking the pop music and R&B to the heaviest of heavy metal to country to blues to you name it. I never really got into the rap music scene, other than the occasional heavy metal band that rapped a few of their songs. On any given occasion, I might listen to any one of those musical genres, but the bulk of my music now belongs to Christian rock and pop -- whatever they call themselves. During the course of my listening development, I also picked up and taught myself guitar and bass guitar. I would like to share a few links that i have found interesting -- some are links to particular bands' websites and others are to various sites that have guitar tab. I find them all quite exciting, and I hope you do as well! As time progresses, I will probably add more, so keep checking in! |
