| you; a sonnet 2.5.98 |
| I look at you, and feel your eyes; they pierce my soul, they burn through me. a breath escapes me as I sigh, my vision blurs and I can' t see. I feel myself get weak and then begin to fall down to the floor. it's you who does this, you who can, your stare can reach into my core. and now my heart begins to pound, I lick my lips because they part. I close my eyes without a sound, I will submit to you my heart. I wait for you, I'm not yet whole, I need you to complete my soul. |
