Bilingual Mental Health Services (Spanish/English)
Instruction:
- Instruction offered to Mental Health professionals wanting to improve their skill performing psychiatric evaluations in Spanish. Emphasis in psychiatric terminology and cultural competency.
Case consultation:
- Case consultation offered to Mental Health providers. Discussion of diagnosis, biopsychosocial evaluations, treatment planning, differential diagnosis and appropriate referrals. Emphasis on culturally sensistive interventions. Individual and group sessions (max 4 persons).
Supervision:
- MSW's
- MFT's
Supervision offered to MSW and MFT candidates for Licensure by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Emphasis on working with Latino clients.
Interpretation:
- Interpretation between English speaking mental health professionals and monolingual Spanish speaking clients.
Counseling/Psycho-education (Spanish or English):
- Individual sessions to address stressors causing, contributing or exarcebating symptoms of depression or anxiety.
- Group sessions to become familiar with the symptoms, causes and treatments of depression and anxiety disorders.
Consejeria y Educacion Psicologica en Espa�ol:
- Sesiones individuales para tratar problemas que causan o contribuyen a sintomas de depresion y ansiedad (nervios).
- Sesiones en grupo para familiarizarse con los sintomas, causas y tratamientos para combatir la depresion y ansiedad.
