| I am presently working, since June 2001, for SCT Software Solutions, formerly known as Sallie Mae Solutions, a division of Sallie Mae, USA. Sallie Mae Solutions has been bought over by SCT as of September 30, 2002. SCT creates and delivers a range of business and technical solutions to colleges and universities in USA. This suite of products (formerly known as Exeter Student Suite) is collectively called SCT Matrix. This suite provides rapid and reliable access to centralized information for administrators, as well as the convenience of secure Web integration for the entire campus community. This suite is configured to meet the diverse requirements of each department, school and campus supporting Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration, Student Housing, Student Billing, Career Services, Alumni Development and many more functions. I have been working for the past 2 years in the CMN-SMS team. CMN or Common is the base underlying structure that the other applications of the suite depend on. This application takes care of all the implementation requirements for an installation of the suite. Some examples of there are Rule Definitions, Profile Definitions, Security Structure Definitions, Entity Definitions among numerous other such functions. I have managed teams that have varied in size (as per function requirements) from 1 to 15. I have single handedly designed, developed and implemented the Reporting Architecture that the entire suite uses. I have been involved in the re-architecture of the middle layer and database fine tuning to improve performance and scalability. Apart from this I have developed or trouble-shooted many of the functions. SMS is the Student Marketing System and this application is for admission and hand off of an applicant/prospect to other applications once he becomes a student. Here too I have developed many of the functions, fixed numerous issues, re-architectured the middle layer and fine tuned database. |
