Dodge remembers the Alamodome fondly, returns Tuesday for all-star game

The game will give Dodge an opportunity to test his surgically repaired right shoulder. Dodge suffered the injury during the Dragons season-ending loss to Abilene in the regional semifinals.
Dodge had surgery in January then went through three-and-half months of rehabilitation. Now he says the shoulder feels better than before the injury.
“I feel like I have a little more velocity,” said Dodge, who has been doing running and conditioning each day this summer at North Texas in preparation for the upcoming season.
Dodge said he plans on using the six practices before the all-star game to get used to playing in pads again and taking hits.

Dodge isn’t ready to forget all the great times he had playing at Carroll.
