Dumplings with plums

INGREDIENTS:

 

2 kg potatoes

500 g flour

250 g lard

250 g bread crumbs

1 kg plums

250 g sugar

3 eggs

cinnamon powder, salt

 

PREPARATION:

 

 

Boil potatoes and mash them in a fine paste. Add flour, salt, eggs and mix all well.

Roll out a thick sheet from this mixture and cut it into 3” x 3” squares.

Wash the plums well, remove the pips and in their place put sugar. Put a plum on each square and fold the dough around the fruit to obtain a dumpling.

Bring to boil water in a large saucepan and put the dumplings inside. Let them boil for 10 min.

Fry the bread crumbs in lard until golden.

Roll the dumplings in bread crumbs to cover them evenly. Sprinkle icing sugar and cinnamon powder on dumplings and bake them in the oven 10 min.
