CNN Reporter Lucia Newman is a lesbian?
Lucia Newman is a reporter for CNN. She has reported many incidents in several Latin American countries. Since 1997, she has been mostly stationed in Havana, Cuba, working for CNN there, the only U.S. news agency present in that country. I think this small paragraph does well for a short introduction about this person.
Leonardo Di Gostiza is a man born in Naples, Italy, and he has travelled around the world, mostly for business. In 1995 Mr. Di Gostiza obtained a job for a small magazine in Italy, involving, for the most part, obtaining information about well known people. It was just in year 2001 that he travelled to Havana, Cuba, in order to find out information on Spanish famous woman Sara Montiel, which was rumored to be in Cuba. All in all, Mr. Di Gostiza was unable to find Mrs. Montiel, and having a few days left in Cuba (from which he came back with some grotesque tales, and saying he would never visit Cuba again), he decided to obtain some information on Lucia Newman. Probably this information would not be of any interest, but he got some of it, certainly.
After four days of visiting places around run down Havana, Mr. Di Gostiza found out that Lucia Newman frequently dates men to go out with her. Not something really unussual in Cuba. However, one thing got the attention of Mr. Di Gostiza, and it was that, despite the men Lucia Newman tends to go out with, she has one permanent relation, but not with a man but with a woman! This woman (the only photo Mr. Di Gostiza found is displayed below) is named Svetlana Petrova, descendant of Russian parents who lived (and still live, apparently) in Cuba. While Mr. Di Gostiza was not able to obtain any intimate or further information about the private lives of Lucia Newman and Svetlana Petrova, it seems, certainly, that the two women are in love with each other. Mr. Di Gostiza reports that "from time to time, they kissed each other in the lips, and held their hands". Mr. Di Gostiza never wanted to publish this information on any of the magazines he was working in, as this would probably seem uninteresting for the regular readers, who expect to find information about celebrities, not CNN reporters. Still, Mr. Di Gostiza facilitated this information to me. Now, could it be true, then, that CNN Reporter Lucia Newman is a lesbian?
