The Feminine Selection enters in the final stages of preparation for the match in Switzerland

The feminine Brazilian selection of vlei is in the final stages of training for the first challenge of the season: the Montreux Volley Masters, that will be carried through between days 3 and 8 of July, in Switzerland.

Under the command of coach Marco Aurlio Motta, the team is using to its advantage the last days of training in Rio De Janeiro to gain their momentum.

On Tuesday, the group travels to Holland, where they are scheduled to play in a series of three friendly games against the local selection, on May 29, 30 and 31. After that, the team then proceeds to Switzerland.

After seven weeks of training, coach Motta is satisfied with the team and sees its further improvement.
"We have had sufficient time training, but I have had only two weeks with the group as a complete team. In the beginning, we prepared the players individually, in the physical part and technique ", commented.

"About the complete teams, in we worry in giving them attention to the work of the levantadoras with the aggressors and establishing a standard in the game exit. Still I have the end of this week and of the next one, when we go to face Holland, to define the teams base for the Montreux."

For Marco Aurlio, the two last weeks will serve to improve specific teamwork with some players. "We will work on the passes with Sheilla, Luciana and Paula. I want them to be good not only in the attack but on the passes too. For the dynamics of our group, it is important that Paula plays passing. Thus, she can attack more on the deep end of court", said Marco Aurlio.

The coach knows that this time of the training is dedicated for the final selection of the players for the two first competitions of the year. "The Montreux will be a preparatory competition for the Grand Prix. This is the moment to finalize the team roster and plan on the variation of some plays. From the few, the team is gaining form ", completed the trainer.
