But the problem is, we haven't seen many really good ones.
So an idea was formed. The idea of a playful competition with an actual prize for the winner and runner up (but, sadly, only in the 'overall' category, for we are poor) as an incentive to hopefully get people to write truly good crossovers. Crossovers where the characters remain intact, where the canons seem to mesh, where there's no sudden godmoding powers.
With some canons, crossovers are extremely easy, such as any sci-fi or fantasy reality/planet-hopping canon. Others would be incredibly difficult.
We say the more interesting your crossover, the better. We don't care what you cross with what, who ends up with who, or even why you chose it (although that is interesting to hear...). We'd just like to see good-quality fiction.
