Lucena City Association celebrated Christmas with a pledge for the poor |

Christmas came a month early for the Lucena City Association of Ontario, they celebrated their annual Christmas Party at the Oriole Community Center last November 30, 2003. Over 300 Lucenahins and guests attended the party. It was a family gathering at its best. After the kids games and events the over 50 children was greeted by santa's thundering ho ho ho, lots of giveaways and gifts was distributed courtesy of santa and the association. To top it all up santa brought a big bag full of coins and showered the children with them, it was a fun filled pandemonium for all ages. |

As soon as santa flew to the north pole to prepare for Christmas, the feast began to the delight of the gourmet lovers five huge tables was presented full of native delicacies like pancit lucban, adobo, kandinga(bopis), kare kare, pinangat(laing) and of course the two lechon courtesy of Kol Hope Foundation and BLD ME 23.� The dessert tables cannot be outdone either, tikoy, bibingka, ginatan, puto, pitche pitche, puto bungbung, halaya(ube), gulaman and large assortments of canap�s and other sweets baked and created by lucenahins specially by FV foods was a sight and taste to behold. |

After filling themselves with the feast, it is time to loosen some of it ? for the rest of the night dancing commenced, ballroom, line dancing, disco you name it, thanks to the music by lucenahins Edith and Rolly Vallena. It was a Christmas night to remember ! |

The party was free for everyone but not without its messages, after all the association has the slogan ?The Mission is the Reason!?. The party was capped by an announcement by the president Jun Enverga of their upcoming party on May 15, 2004 dubbed as the Tropical Night at Malvern Community Center to fund their ongoing EDUCATIONAL MISSION. The association has pledged to help the poor and needy students in the Philippines by funding the construction of a two classroom building and at the same time providing over a hundred chairs and desk with it ? This is the Christmas Gift of the officers, members and supporters of the Lucena City Association of Ontario to our poor and needy kababayan. |
