| RELIEF GOODS FOR THE POOR |
| 6:00 AM May 24, 2001 in front of St. Ferdinand Cathedral, Lucena city. Volunteers have gatheree the prepared bags (contents: rice/canned goods/candies & vitamins) |
| 7:00 AM a number of people have gathered awaiting for the distribution of the goods. A week before the DAY a group of volunteers went to the poor areas of the city giving away coupons to poor families. There is only two (2) conditions the home of the poor family should have no sign of TV or concrete. |
| 8:00 AM giving of goods started, you could only see smiles from both the receiver and the giver, The goods should last for a couple of weeks or so depending on the number of person in the household. |
| 10:35 AM The crowd hasn't thinned out yet, a lot of those who received the goods are on their way home now! the volunteers are tired but very happy to help the people they really cared for. |
| 12: 15 PM A few bags were not picked up, it was given to those who had no coupons but waited patiently enough for the moment so they can put there hands on the goods they desperately need. Over 450 poor families had been assisted by this generous donation. A big thanks was given to the Lucena City Association by the crowd. |
