| July 7, 2005 ...Lucena City Association has delivered 10 door to door boxes of canned goods, medical supplies and clothings through the Mary Mother of the Poor Appeal, to the stricken areas in the Infanta, General Nakar and Real area. The disaster in the area has affected all walks of life, farms are made useless by the mud slides, business establishments had been devastated,.people had been left with no property and worse no jobs to support their family. To answer the call of the poor the association pledged the needed funds to help the self help "LIVELIHOOD PROJECT" whereas families will be given training and supplies to be able to start their own little business. Families will be trained to cook sweets, candies and other Philippine delicacies and at the same time they will be supplied with the supplies to start the business. Other families will be trained to make hollow blocks and in turn will be given supplies like hollow blocks mold, and others will be given seeds and fertilizers to start a garden to sell their produce. There are so many possibilities to help the poor and the needy and the association is making sure that they do what they can to assist their kababayans. The president Jun Enverga will go to Infanta to facilitate the completion of the above mission and at the same time to cooperate and assist the Mary Mother of the Poor Foundation to help build a two room school building to replace the one that was totally devasted by the landslide. A Medical, Dental and surgical mission is also scheduled on July 22,23,24 and 25 to help the poor and the needy in Infanta, Real and General Nakar. Medicines and services will be provided free. The association ensures that all the services and relief funds goes directly to the needy and not one cent go towards any administration expenses. INFANTA NEEDS MOR HELP!
