Winter Storm '99There has been a lot of politicking over this storm, I'm not at all interested in that. I'm just think it was a beautiful series of storms that came in like a weather grab bag.
Set 1: Taken at roughly 1 a.m. around the town of Cayuga, Ontario. The snow was granular and about 1 foot deep on the roads at the time. It was like walking on rice.
Set 2: These are shots from around my house after the more stable weather returned. The backyard looked so natural, until you look closely at the swingset and composter on the left hand side of the image. The gate picture - I had to dig trenches around the house and backyard so that the kids could go outside and play. The snow was deep enough that once they got into it, they couldn't get out. Lucas was acting foreman on the job and can be seen in the last pic inspecting my handiwork.
