Network Design & Optimization
Companies make many products, have multiple facilities and numerous trading
partners. Network Design and Optimization can help you make valuable
strategic decisions about the design of your supply chain network and the
utilization of the network’s assets. These strategic decisions ensure that
the entire supply chain network is positioned to most profitably meet customer
demand.
Project
on Supply Chain Network designing and optimization consist of identifying the
influencing factors and developing the framework for making the network design
decisions. Network optimization models are used for optimizing facility
location and capacity allocation decisions. Finally, the models are evaluated
and analyzed in the uncertain (realistic) environment.
E-Procurement Tools
Project
aims at learning features of B2B software, tools, and applications; tips for
system evaluation, selection, and deployment; and how other organizations have
utilized B2B tools to streamline processes and increase ''hands-free''
purchasing.
Advanced review of ERP systems
This
project discusses the concept of ERP, it’s evolution and aims to understand
various modules of an ERP system, various ERP packages available &
implementation methodologies followed. The project also includes case studies
of ERP implementation using SAP R/3 software.
Concurrent
Product Development Across the Supply Chain
This
project will cover challenges faced by companies that form partnership with
global suppliers in developing an integrated product. Many experts agree the
concurrent product development (CPD) across the supply chain is the next
significant challenge in design for manufacturability. Effective management of
this process is a key to achieve superior time-to-market and life cycle
quality.
Review of Demand Forecasting Systems
This
is a study project aiming to analyze the various techniques used in
forecasting the demand of a product in the future. The project covers all the
quantitative, qualitative and neural network techniques commonly used. The
ultimate aim of this project is to reduce the ‘Bull Whip’ effect in the
supply chain.
