Ladies’ Man

While agriculture, mining, fishing, scavenging, and other activities are highly enjoyable, the Harvest Moon life is an empty one without a woman to occupy your time. Five lovely young women are available to court in Harvest Moon 64. “Accidents” have been made, and some people have tried to hit on these lovely young ladies’ mothers, however, the only other woman who will register these “accidental” attempts is the midwife. If you are hitting on the midwife on purpose, turn off your Nintendo 64. The following are the eligible girls:

....Popuri....Elli....Ann....Karen....Maria....Heart Meter....

Popuri

  • Birthday: Spring 22nd
  • Favorite Thing: Moondrop Flowers
  • Place of Residence: Flower Shop
  • Mother: Lilia
  • Father: Basil
  • Siblings: None

  • —With pink hair and a bright demeanor, Popuri is quick to show her devotion to flowers. Flowers are just what will win her over, so purchase a cabinet to store the botanical beauties if Popuri is your one and only.

Popuri can be found in the flower shop on rainy days, standing to the left of the entrance. On nice days she can be found to the left of the flower shop watering the flower beds, or in any of the three forest areas. She can also be found on the cliff above the second forest area (with the carpeters’ hut and the cave), which can be accessed by standing to the right/middle of the tree and pressing A to climb.

Popuri’s damsel in distress incident involves her falling from the cliif in the second forest area (with the carpeters’ hut and the cave) and twisting her ankle. If you chose to get help instead of carrying her yourself, Gray will come to the rescue.

Like the other girls, there will be a day when Popuri gets sick. To visit her, enter the flower shop on such a day and accept the invitation her mother extends to you.

If you marry her, Popuri will help by occasionally collecting the eggs (sometimes she drops all of them) and watering random patches of dirt outside (she’s a bright one). Her parents are Lilia, the cashier in the flower shop, and Basil, a wandering botanist. Basil comes on the fifteenth of Spring and stays until mid Fall. If you befriend him, Basil will give you a power berry.

If you marry her, Elli will help by occasionally collecting the eggs (sometimes she drops all of them). If you speak to her grandmother at all during Spring of the second year, she will die. Karen’s damsel in distress incident involves her getting locked in the wine cellar. The secret exit will make you a hero (on the ground level, not in the basement, opposite the wall with the door).

Like the other girls, there will be a day when Karen gets sick. To visit her, enter her house at the vineyard on such a day and accept the invitation her mother extends to you.

If you marry her, Karen will help by occasionally collecting the eggs (sometimes she drops all of them). Her mother is the woman in the house at the vineyard with the bun.
