Where are we and what is there to do?

Located just minutes from Coolangatta airport which is just over the border from New South Wales and an hour and a quarter from Brisbane city, (a little more from Brisbane International airport) and you can be relaxing with the sound of the surf.

Close by, there are restaurants to suit all budgets, clubs for live entertainment, dining or playing the poker machines, shopping centres and the Currumbin Wildlife sanctuary.

Enjoy a superb surfing beach and crystal clear water, or a leisurely stroll along the beachfront, with plenty of seats to pause and enjoy the views.

For the fishing fans there's off shore fishing with all gear provided. Boats leave daily, weather permitting, from the Tweed River, 10 minutes away by car.

If theme parks are for you, it’s only half an hour by car or coach trip to the major theme parks on the coast. A newly built super highway will take you straight to Brisbane city by car, or there’s the train or regular coach transport.

But for sheer relaxation, this is the spot! Lie in bed and watch the waves, or invite the lorikeets in for a snack. This is also the migration path for whales and from your balcony you might catch a view of their water spouts and the dolphins playing in the waves.

Work on your tan by the pool or enjoy a game of tennis.

Then there's the sub rainforests and cool walks in the summer with spectacular birds, wallabies, and other fauna, through the national parks which make up the hill country of the hinterland.

Drive to the Gold Coast hinterland and experience the rainforests, fabulous views and native wildlife.
