I drempt of walking along the shore
Waves slapping at our feet,
Your hand in mine
The smell of the sea so sweet.

Is it the salt from the water
That washes away the bad,
Or the feel of the sand between our toes
That makes us feel so glad.

Or is it because we are together here
Closing out the world,
You and I and no one else
As our past is slowly unfurled.

We felt it then, and feel it now
A love that will always be,
As we walk along we see it in
The rhythm of the sea.
