Eyes Of A Child
Eyes Of A Child

I am a bit different, my eyes cannot see
But i see far more than you imagine of me.
I see with my mind, my hands, and my ears
I see with my nose, and i feel the same fears.

By the whistling wind, i know the tree
And by the crashing waves, i know the sea.
I know the school bus by the toot of it's horn
And my time out chair, which is fairly worn.

I know the smell of flowers, of pizza and hot dogs
And the warmth of a fireplace, from the hot burning logs.
I know the feel of my toys, of a warm soft floor rug
And my grandmas love when she gives me a hug.

I can read and write, and learn same as you
I dress myself, and tie my own shoe,
I comb my own hair, and shower alone
Play games and swim, and talk on the phone.

So if you pity me that i cannot see
"I See" someone blinded, far more than me.
