God didn't promise us
Days without sorrow,
Laughter without tears
Or clear skies tomorrow.

But God did promise us
Strength for today,
Comfort for our fears
And forgiveness, should we go astray.

And for all of us who believe
In Him, and His kingdom above,
He will answer our faith
With
"Eternal love".
