A Mother's Tear

As i watched them grow
With a careful eye,
I now understand
Why my mother cried.

You protect them always
As a mother will do,
But give them a chance
To learn and pursue.

Then when they are hurting
And you feel their pain,
You over protect
Thinking this is a gain.

Then the road get's bumpy
Because there's a mar,
And distance between you
Seem's enormously far.

Now they are grown
With babes of their own,
And have told me often
To protect they are prone.

The love is again
I feel it inside,
For now they know why
Their mother to cried.
