The Wattage Sporty is not a slow flyer by any means!  I have mine set up to be as gentle as possible with dihedral and rudder/elevator.  For my first flights, I used a 6 cell 150mAH battery for the lightness in the event of a disaster.  It flew great but the small battery will only last a couple minutes at full throttle.  After the initial test flights I installed the recommended 7 cell 270mAH and it's like a bullet!  It'll fly straight as an arrow through a light breeze and will do loops and figure eights beautifully!  I've begun construction on a second Sporty that's going to be a full house with no dihedral.  You gotta get one!!!
