Now of course the town isn't lined up so very straight. But I don't draw so trying to figure out how to make streets go diagonally or bend and curve etc would drive me crazy. So for now, this is the best I can do.

I did some rearranging after visiting the set again. Now, where everything is placed is where it is located on the set but that doesn't mean that is where it is located in the fictional town of Stars Hollow. Remember most of these buildings are simply facades. (For example, if you walk through Sookie's front door straight through, you'd come out of Lorelai's front door.)

I've been getting quite a few emails asking about the location of Stars Hollow so I thought I'd put the answer to this FAQ here. Stars Hollow is not a real town. It is a set located on the backlot of Warner Brothers Studio in the city of Burbank, California. Those of you interested in visiting the set can do so. To find out more, click on the tour bus picture below. I have never taken the studio tour but I have seen many tours come through while Gilmore Girls was filming. Tours came through the town and people were able to take pictures. I've also seen the tour groups come through while we were filming in the grandparents house so I think it's a pretty thorough tour. Hope that helps!
I'd love to hear about your adventure on the tour, drop me an email.
