Gamo P-23, the reason for the purchase of this gun was the following: I wanted a lightweight gun my wife could shoot without complaining that is was too heavy, it had to be a 'fast-fire' gun which meant it had to be Co2, and I wanted something that wasn't going to be too expensive.
Out of the box the gun looked exeptionally good value for money, the finish is far superior that of my Daisy 717. It's double action only (which irritates some people on the NG's I frequent) but it's got a smooth and progressive trigger with a fairly crisp let-off.
The only complaint I have is that the trigger pull through is too great and can cause the gun to cant left after the shot, this I corrected by putting a trigger stop in place.
Details:
Trigger pull: 9lbs
Weight: 1lb
Shots per cap': 80-100
Main body is high impact plastic, the barrel is rifled steel and is set in a cast metal body.
It can fire single shot pellets or 10 lead BB's. It is fairly accurate with the pellets, but the BB's can be a bit hit or miss. I tend to try and select the BB's for size and shape, rejecting anything that look's out of round. There is a scope rail built into the top of the barrel casting, this takes a red-dot sight beautifully.
