RWS C225 CO2 air-pistol by Umarex

Appearance

The RWS C225 CO2 air-pistol is a faithful replica of the SIG-Sauer P225, also known as the Pistole 6 in Germany. However this replica is considerably heavier than the full-bore pistol. The finish is matt black on an aluminium alloy frame. Such is the accuracy of the replica, even the rolled pin that would have held the firing pin assembly in place, has been included in the casting. Sights are post & notch, providing a very good picture. The rear sight is adjustable only for windage and secured with a grub screw.

Loading & Firing

You load a 12-gram CO2 powerlet into the butt by pressing the magazine release button that pops the right-hand grip plate off. Lower the magazine floor plate that acts as a lever & place a powerlet in the butt. Use the threaded platform & lever to pierce the powerlet. Replace the grip plate. Push the take down lever down that allows the front half of the slide to move forward half an inch. Place a loaded rotary magazine in the receiver & close the slide. You may now fire the pistol by either single or double action mode.

Safety

There is a sear notch on the hammer that prevents the hammer from hitting the firing pin if the trigger is not following through with the shot. The de-cocking lever works just as on the full-bore pistol.
