The best news is that my mom's biopsies came back totally negative, so we're pleased that God has been working in her life. Now, we need to focus on her upcoming gall stones surgery, and she is currently trying to put if off till after the Holidays. I can't blame her for that, since that is one of the two times a year she gets to see one or both of my out of town brothers.
Meanwhile, I'm continueing to grow in God, and have talked to the pastor at my church. I told him that I wish to join the membership of the church, and that it was time to start giving back in the way of working in ministries and leadership in the church, specifically as a minister to the Saints.
For some reason, I sort of lost interest in writing the non-christian novel that I was working on. I never really got past 37,000 words. Then God gave me, in a dream, a very good premise for a christian book. I'm working on the research between the USAAF in WWII and the planes they flew to the missions they went on, and WWII Cairo and more importantly Egypt, and then making connections between the Bible and the Eyptian heiroglyphics, and the book of christian fiction will culminate in a hunt for the Ark of the Covenant and salvation for one very embittered man.
Understandably, the two act play is on hold right now, the research having been done. All I need to do now is write it. I'm also in the process of writing two new articles for either this site and/or publication. One will be called "All and Nothing," and be about the two operations of salvation, and the second will be called, "The Three Stages of God Moving." My plan is when writers block sets in on the book, to write either the play and/or the articles, or vice versa.
After this play, I will be writing one for the Christmas Holiday, maybe incorporating Messianic Jews into a gentile Christmas, and then have a play for Christmas, Easter, and the summer, hopefully to be published by Lillenas all together in one book. My plate in the church is rapidly filling up. I've also been asked to consult and help with the childrens Christmas musical. I plan on working in whatever way they and God allow me to.

Archived News

10-17-2008

Almost another year has gone by and there hasn't been anything updated on the site. I will try to catch you up since a year ago. There are two pieces of main news that needs to be told. The first piece is that my mother and I were involved in a three car pileup back in July. It's been three months now, and the truck I drive is fixed back to normal, and I'm pretty much back to normal. My mom, hoever, still has some problems, and is also dealing with some unrelated medical problems that cropped up when some tests were ran after the accident.
She has had some biopsies done, and we are waiting on the news from those. A surgery is also awaiting her when and if she gets done whatever needs to be done for this current situation.

The second piece of news involves me. I've gotten much closer to God, and He is starting to show me some things that I need to be moving on into. I've reached another point of maturity, and the creativity that flows out of me has resulted in a two act play for the summer that I have written, two skits, and I am currently involved in a project called NaNoWriMo, or National November Novel Writing Month. Basically, you try to get at least fifty thousand words down in a rough draft. I racked my brains, but could not come up with a good christian premise, and since the group that I am in is writing in October instead of November, I'm ahead of the pack with almost 30,000 words, and two weeks to go. I may also participate with the KC group in November if I can come up with a good historical christian fiction premise.

Meanwhile, I'm doing research on another two act play which will be an easter play and feature the last few days before and after Christ is crucified and resurrected. After that, my plans are to write another play for Christmas, and then submit all three to be in one playbook for drama in the drama portion of the Nazarene Publishing House here in Kansas City. So I'll see where that takes me, and I'm also writing skits as needed which may all be incorporated into a skit book at some later date for the same publishing house.
With all that and plans to get more motivated and busy in the church that God sent me to, I have a lot on my plate right now, but I know that God will not give me more than I can handle. Any prayers you can send my way would be appeciated, for both me and my mother. Thanks again for coming back to the site to look over things. I hope to be adding some articles to the teaching section, and maybe I will start taking testimonies from those who visit this site to be posted in it's own section. So if you have a testimony and a picture that you wouldn't mind sharing, or prayers or comments, send them to the email address listed below. In the Subject line, put "Reply to your Website" so I don't accidentally delete it because I'm not sure who it's from.

Wow! I really haven't updated for some time now... Part of the reason was that I had a Yahoo 360 site, and a blog over there. I am now going to close the site and have moved two of the blog articles over here. They are in the "Teach & Disciple" articles section. I have also written some poetry, and those make find their way over here too, perhaps in another section.
So I'm back, more or less. I will continue to write articles as they come to my mind or are put upon me by God, and will update in other ways as well. I will try to update the Plan of Salvation by the end of the year into a more cohesive section.

Well, I haven't updated in some time. I'm not really updating, just doing some spring cleaning now that spring is officially here. I've decided to drop some pages and edit others. I've been busy working, and haven't really had much time to devote to this website, but now that I'm no longer working, I can devote more time to it.

I returned from shopping to find a pamphlet-sized tract attached to my door. Since I get these all the time from various churches, and since I'm in the church God sent me to, I usually do not examine them too closely. However, once I looked more closely at the tract, the contents proved to be so shocking that I felt I should drop everything else and write an immediate article. One word of warning is that this tract was published by a known false church and false cult, according to the protestant christian experts who wrote both "The Kingdom of the Kults" and "Handbook of Cults". I'm also going to do someting different, because of the potential poison of this tract. I'm going to post a link to the article right here so that you can go straight to it. You can find the article here

I'm still excited about being a part of my new church, and have been recently baptized and have begun a position of teaching in the church. I'm both pleased and cautioned that the pastor has called on me to pray at the finish to the meeting quite a few times. Pleased, because the pastor feels I'm a real christian and a godly man, and cautioned, because I do not want to get a puffed up head because of this. I merely want to be a vessel worthy to be considered being used by God. That is all I wish for.
Unfortunately, I was sick the first time the church was having a fellowship dinner, and the hayride fellowship get-together was canceled because of the weather, so I have yet to be able to get to know some of the other members of the church. I may start visiting some of them this week, and will be going out witnessing with either the pastor or another member. I'm looking forward to both.

I finished the Whole Armor of God article, and have added it to the site. You can read it under the section marked "Teaching/Discipleship". I have also moved the Links section over to the new site. I've purged the bad links, and now that makes everything complete on this site except for the tweaking of the "Interactive Plan of Salvation." My next project with be finishing the research on the play I want to write, and to begin to write it. I also have some other articles on the back burner as well, and will work on them as time allows.
I put the pictures up of Kansas City and Monroe while my cousing and his wife were here on the yahoo photos page. You can see them by going to the "More About Me" link and clicking on the Yahoo Photos Link there.
I'm very excited about being a part of my new church, and joined last week. I'm actively looking for some of the confirmations I received in Monroe to be fulfilled in this church. I'm working in the Junior Church helping to teach the kids during the sermon upstairs, and I have enjoyed getting to know the pastor better, and will now start to get to know the congregation better as well.

9-28-2006

I have brought the Miscellaneous portion of the website over here from the old site, and that only leaves the Links section and a tweaking of the old Interactive Plan of Salvation to be finished moving the entire site over here.
I have also begun to write the Whole Armor of God article, and should have that finished in the next few days. I am still researching the first play I wish to write, and will most likely begin to get an outline for that after the Whole Armor of God article is written.

9-12-2006

I am back home now, and will be getting ready to write the article on the whole armor of God soon. I have had a great time down at Monroe visiting my cousin and his wife and family, and also so many blessings from visiting Rowland Road Baptist Church in Monroe that I lost count.
I'm still doing the research for the play, and will continue to do so. I found some great material at a Bible book store to help with the lives, attitudes, and other knowledge of the 12 disciples.
I am ready now to see what God has in store for me with those blessings I have received down in Louisiana, and hope the friendships and accquaintences continue to grow and develop for years to come!
I have added the Teaching and Discipling articles to this site, and will be working on the Whole Armor of God article in the next few days. I have also added the "About Me" section to the new website and have updated the ceramics pictures to be brighter and better.

8-27-2006

I have been spending some time visiting my cousin down in Monroe, Louisiana this past couple of weeks, and have had a great period of growth and seeing the Holy Spirit move. I have been attending Rowland Road Baptist Church with my cousin and his wife, and have stopped counting the confirmations I have received personally through the ministry at the church and elsewhere.
While I was here in Monroe, I started to write the article on the Armor of God, and for some reason the Holy Spirit moved, and the article turned out to be about water baptism and why it is not necessary to have a water baptism to obtain salvation by grace, through faith. I have finished the article and have put it up on the website in the Article section. You can find it under the title of "Is Water Baptism Necessary to Obtain Salvation?"
I am currently beginning the article on the Armor of God in Ephesians 6 and am still doing research on the first of two plays I would like to write. I have found some great helps for the article and play through a christian bible store here in West Monroe called Blessings.
Have a great day in the Lord!

I have moved the Testimony over to this site, and have updated it to be current with todays date. I also wrote a bit more than before, and changed a few things around. I am also in the process of moving the Interactive Plan of Salvation over here, as well as updating and renovating it, but it will be more like an ongoing project since that link alone involved many webpages.
I have also been going to a new church for the last three weeks, and have gotten involved in one of the Life Groups. I am seeing a lot of things in this church that I have been looking for for a long long time, and I hope that the people and things bear out in the next few weeks. I am currently seeking confirmation whether this is the right church for me, and what sort of ministry to get involved in if and when I have that confirmation. Please pray for that.
I am going to keep working at getting the entire website over here to it's new location in the near future, and thanks to my cousin to allow me to help him with some personal teaching that he needed last night from me, I have the material I need for another Teaching article based on the Armor of God, in Ephesians 6.
I have had some pretty good ideas for two plays that I have wanted to write for many years, and have finally got the time and desire to start writing them, so I will be also spending time researching the bible for material on one of the plays. The title will be called, "The Upper Room" and is a three-scene Two Act Play, of which all the action takes place in the Upper Room both before and after Jesus' betrayal and arrest by the Sanhedrin. The other title is a play about the book of Esther, and is currently on the back burner.
I am also updating a former short One Act play I wrote some years back into a fuller Act and a half play called, "A Choice Between Two Roads." I also have a few skits I need to polish and hopefully can get everything published through Lilleanas Drama or another christian venue.

Well, it has been slightly over a year now since I have updated the site. When my dad died, I was so used to being strong for my mom and taking care of her that I really did not have time to process the grief until much later. My dad was the rock that held our family together, and in the last seven years I really became close to he and my mom, and closer still when he was undergoing chemo and radiation therapy.
You see, during the time he was taking radiation, he went every weekday, and I drove him most of the time. When he took chemo as well, I drove him all the time. When you see someone reduced to helplessness due to age and sickness, you rather quickly figure out why you love someone. But I never knew just how much I loved my dad till he was gone.
It is when you start to think about something he likes, and you want to talk about it, and you realize you can never talk to him about those things again this side of heaven. Or, you run into a problem and can never depend on his expertise again this side of heaven. Or you simply cannot sit with him over a few jokes and laughs again this side of heaven.
Though I am far better than I have been during the last year, I am still helping my mom with another brother, and can use all the prayers you wish to send my way. Thank you so much to all those who have been praying for me and my family during the last year, and those who continue to do so.
On a different level, with me beginning to update the site again comes changes. One of the first is that I am moving the site to a different place, and will hopefully start updating all the pages, and adding more teaching and discipling articles in that portion of the website. I have some other plans for upcoming projects in the near future as well.

I've also decided to do a biography of my dad on this site in the near future.

Walking in His Will is very pleased to include The Good Shepard Webring and the Lamb of God Webring in it's list of Webrings below. I have checked both out and they are run by a God-fearing person and of the person's websites I have examined on these rings, they should be a blessing to believers. Give them a check when you are finished looking at this site, and also check out the other webrings I am proud to be considered a member of.

My dad's battle with cancer finally ended at the end of June. He was buried on the following first Saturday of July. It has been a tough time lately, and another brother and myself are trading off to stay with my mom, who was hit really hard.
There is a bit of good news in all this, though. My pastor and some friends from church visited my dad twice, and the second time my dad asked for prayer, and made his peace with God. So I am comforted greatly that he is with the Father in heaven, surrounded in Jesus's arms, with the angels of heaven shouting "Hallelujah!"

My Dad

I still am thinking about doing a biography of my dad on this site in the near future.

I just got back from a conference near Charlotte, North Carolina, although the conference itself was just across the state line into South Carolina. Here is a picture from the worship service on one of the seven meetings. We had worship each meeting for about an hour...

Heritage International Ministries

The conference was awesome, and I got a lot out of it. I also got to meet my online Australian friend for the first time, and to share some great times with him. We also got to go to Washington, DC for a couple of days, and I should be posting some pictures from that trip soon.

On a bad note, while I was gone, my dad started having problems after his second round of chemo after the first round failed to shrink his tumor. He had partial renal failure, which means that his kidney's stopped working, and the toxicity in him from the chemo backed up into his body. As of this date, he is still in the hospital, eight days now.
He complains of constant pain and the medicine they are giving him isn't taking care of the pain. His kidneys have come back a bit, but he's still a little out of it, and still has trouble eating and drinking. I would really appreciate your prayers, and the prayers of anyone you know. Thanks.

I have finally finished another article I was writing, and have posted it to the Articles section, entitled, "The Red Ribbon of the Bible." You can access it from the Articles section of the website...
