| You will be creating a multimedia presentation all about AVID. You will be sharing this presentation orally in Anacapa classrooms, for the PTO, your parents, incoming AVID student and their parents, the administration, possibly other high school classes, and eventually the AVID Region VIII Coordinators and teachers. The possibilities are ENDLESS!! |

| First you must decide the following * What are the characteristics of an AVID student? * What is the AVID elective class like? * What are the expectations for an AVID student in and out of the classroom? * What has AVID done for you personally? * Does the Anacapa AVID class have any goals? * Why would anyone want to apply for the AVID class? * Best part of AVID--hardest part of AVID--worst part of AVID |
| This presentation can be in PowerPoint or Movie Maker. The project can be done alone or in a group of no more than four people. |

| Presentation must contain the following: ** Not be less than 5 minutes in length ** Have more than one visual ** Photos and/or video clips in the presentation ** Add music if possible ** Components of AVID such as; field trips, classwork, projects, tutorials, out of class activities, fun Fridays ** BE CREATIVE!!! |
