Lambda Theta Alpha, Latin Sorority Incorporated's New Jersey North Area One (NJNA1), is currently one of the 8 areas in our respective organization. NJNA1 is composed of 7 chapters and they are: Beta Chapter~Bloomfield College...Eta Chapter~Fairleigh Dickenson University/Caldwell College...Mu Chapter~Ramapo College of NJ...Nu Chapter~Montclair State University...Xi Chapter~Manhattan College/College of New Rochelle...Sigma Chapter~William Paterson University...and Beta Rho Chapter~New Jersey City University. In each of our chapters, our sisters are actively involved on both campus and off campus. As an area, the Area Executive Board of NJNA1 of SPRING 2001, adopted an Area Philanthrophy. Our area philanthropy is entitled "S.H.E.L.L."~ "Somos Hermanas En La Lucha" (We Are Sisters in the Struggle). Each chapter in NJNA1, will be actively participating in our first initiative which will focus on the HIV/AIDS crisis. They will be providing various programs and activities on HIV/AIDS in both on and off campus. To finalize the SPRING 2001, semester, NJNA1 will be participating in the New York AIDS Walk in May.
