Tigers TV Confirmed to bring the NGTN back for 2005
-December 20th, 2004

Last August, during the playoffs and championship, Lead Play-by-Play Announcer Nick Lima stated on many occaisions that the Tigers TV Crew would be back next season, and was, in fact, invited back.

After a meeting between Lima and the Newport Gulls Front Office, including General Manager Chuck Paiva, earlier in December, these promises were set in stone.  Tigers TV WILL be back to cover a whole new season for Gulls fans and television viewers all across New England.  The Newport Gulls Television Network (Nick Lima, President), has been reactivated, and is now capable of even more than what was broadcast last season thanks to new equipment purchases- and much more is on the way.

Tigers TV and the NGTN will kick off 2005 in January, with exclusive coverage of the Gulls 2005 Hot Stove Dinner.  Then, in April, the Gulls will be featured in a live call-in on NCTV's Newport County Forum, courtesy of Tigers TV, as well as a Newport County In-Focus special reviewing last season and previewing what's coming next.  In May, there will be a special presentation on NCTV and RI Statewide featuring the Gulls management, front office, and even some players (TBD).  That's all coming up for 2005, however, let's not forget the games themselves.

Like 2004, the Tigers TV Crew and NGTN will continue to produce as many high quality productions as possible with the available volunteer, hard working crew and aging, overworked equipment.  Plans at this time remain tentative, however full productions of more home games than were shown last year, exhibition games, away games, the entire playoffs, and more are all planned at this time.

Check back often for more updates.  When official air times of upoming shows and events are announced, they will be posted immediately on tigerstv.com and the NGTN website.
