May 28th, 2004 12:00 PM EST ~ If somehow you found this site, congratulations! You are an internet guru. The site is, obviously, under construction. Today is actually the first day it is up, and, hopefully, it will be finshed within 2 weeks. Check back daily for more updates! ~Nick Lima, Club Advisor, Webmaster
May 30th, 2004 11:00 AM EST ~ HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY To better understand the meaning of Memorial Day, theTigers TV Crew is crossing Bristol County, MA, preparing a weekend wrapup of the holiday dedicated to remember those who have lost their lives in defence of this nation, and just how costly our freedom really is. Also, some new things have been added to the site, and more links work, as well. I'll keep working on it, ~Nick Lima, Club Advisor, Webmaster
June 7th, 2004 11:15 PM EST ~ We all must remember this is a temporary, quick site. The final site version will be hosted through THS, with more bandwith, better layout, and detail. For now, continue to use this site to communicate and stay informed. Upcoming Tigers TV Crew projects include the airing of the THS Music Dept. Spring Concert, 2004 Variety Show, and 5 upcoming Tigers Baseball Games from the TBN. Newport Gulls confirmed for this summer on the NGTN! ~Nick Lima Club Advisor, Webmaster
June 18th, 2004 12:02 PM EST ~ I've made some major updates, however, we are still missing a couple of crew members in the Crew section. The bandwith problem continues; try to minimize excessive viewing so the site doesn't crash for an hour. Tivschools.com is going to host us pretty soon, so bare with me. Our current big project is the production of Newport Gulls games, with great potential for both publicity and sponsorship. In addition, the Tigers TV Crew will have another slew of programming to produce this summer, from events to meetings to news magazines to public service shows. ~Nick Lima Club Advisor, Webmaster
August 12th, 2004 1:37 PM EST ~ The Tigers TV Crew care of the Newport Gulls Televsion Network subdivision last night wrapped up its inaugrual season at Cardines Field in Newport, with the Gulls losing to Sanford in the NECBL Championship Series Final Game 3. Thanks to all of our fans, the Gulls organization, our sponsors, and especially to the 30 crew members that contributed this year. We exceeded all expectations, with 10 games, including the playoffs and an away game, instant replay, graphics, audio, and up to 4 cameras. NCTV coproduced the final championship game, and special thanks goes out to them. With two weeks to the start of HS for the crew and RIC for me, things are only picking up. Editing of games, a Freshmen Orientation Video, and other small projects will wrap up the summer for TTV. Then, this Fall, we will move into a new level of quality as we acquire sponsors, funding, new equipment, and bring you even more original programming. Stay tuned for the third season of the Tigers TV Crew! ~Nick Lima, Club Advisor, Webmaster
December 20th, 2004 11:36 PM EST ~ It's been a while since the last update, however I updated just about every page on the site and added a lot of new material, and more is on the way this week. There's big news on the horizon for Tigers TV with the Newport Gulls- see the NGTN link on the bottom left for more details. The Fall of 2004 was very successful for the Tigers TV Crew, and our new graphics generator is working perfectly. Expect much more to come in 2005, including a special presentation on January 15th. We are transferring hosting, and the site should keep its content but be redesigned and better hosted within a few weeks. We have the domain tigerstv.com registered, and video files are already set up in the servers and available at tivschools.com. That's all for now- expect a lot more coming soon! ~Nick Lima Club Advisor, Webmaster
February 5th, 2005 11:36 PM EST ~ The taping of the Newport Gulls First Annual Hot Stove Dinner and Auction was a great success. The show is in post editing now, and will be released and air soon. The biggest surprise of the night, of course, was the announcement that Newport will be hosting the 2005 NECBL ALL STAR GAME! In an exclusive interview with NECBL Commisioner Kevin Macllvane, the Tigers TV Crew and Newport Gulls Telelvision Network learned of the unprecented event. Without a doubt, the game will do for Newport what the AAA All Star Game did for Providence. The Tigers TV Crew, NGTN, and NCTV will be on hand to cover the entire weekend's festivities, including exclusive coverage of the All Star Game itself. Stay tuned for more details as they are released. In the meantime, the club's schedule remains busy. Class shows, interviews, town meetings, and much more are on the plate in the coming weeks. Don't forget, the TBN will be bringing TIGERS BASEBALL to your TV starting this April!
Friday, June 17th, 2005 10:29 AM EST ~ The taping of the Newport Gulls 2005 Season has begun, with 4 games already behind us and many more to come. This year, the Tigers TV Crew hopes to bring in several thousand dollars as a result of our involvement with the Newport Gulls Baseball Club and the mutual support provided. So, expect great things FY2005-2006 as we continue to expand our crew and equipment to produce the highest quality programming possible. There are more than 12 new crew members this summer, whose names will be added to the site shortly. Also, with the addition of our link to the Town's Official Site, our traffic here will likely increase. As a result, I will temporarilly be revising the site to be more professional and less of an insider only site (as it has been until now), and include more information directed at a more public audience. Hopefully, within the next few months, the entire site can be professionally redesigned, hosted, and expanded to match the quality of our productions in the field. ~Nick Lima Club Advisor, Webmaster
