Well.. Poo. I'm at a dillema. Time Travel, or the Multiverse. Which one? How about.. Both! Amazing what an imagination can realize, eh? Okay.. here goes...
Imagine the UNIVERSE! yes.. just.. the universe. As big as you think it is, it's actually quite small, once you look at it from My perspective. And now, I'm not talking as if I were god. Okay.. here goes. Imagine a sphere that is our Universe. like.. a marble.. like in the end of MIB! only... not being played with. Now, imagine it floating in the middle of nothingness. Now, imagine stepping back, and seing that there is an infinite number of these little universes.. universi? From the one we're in, call it (0,0,0) The origin, there are an infinite number stretching away to the left, an infinite number going right, and the same going up and down. and since it's infinate, we can think in 3D, and say an infinite unmber going forwards (towards) and back (away)... and that's only 3D.. Now.. each sphere is a universe.. and each one is slightly different than an infinite number more. Just think.. there are millions just like ours, only one blade of grass in it is leaning slightly more to the left. and Every single quintillionth of a degree where the blade "could" be, it is, in another universe. Pretty nifty, huh? So what does it mean? Well.. it means, at first, that there are alot of places just like ours, with insignificant changes. who cares about that, eh? But then, think.. an infinite number means that, the further away you go from our section, you begin to find places you would only dream about. And, with an infinite number of possibilities, that means that every book, TV show, Cartoon, Video Game, and stray "what if" though, is actually embodied, and actually thriving, as a universe.. one of the infinite number already existing. How cool! Somewhere in that space, Corporal Hichs, from Aliens, is actually fighting Aliens with Hudson and vasquez, and somewhere, Miaka is running away, after someone told her to stay put. Because not only are we looking at situations, when you look at them, but the orientations, X, Y,and Z, one of those would also represent time. So going in one direction would take you into the past, and the other, the future. Remember though, that between every second, there is a half a second, and between that, is a quarter, and so on and so forth... so the infinite timeline is also a very complex thing to think about. Now that you see the multiverse, imagine ALL the universes melting into one. THis Uber-sphere is the Multiverse, as imagine by alot of TPers (Theoretical Physicists) and makes sense. They think that EACH universe vibrates at a slightly (and remember, the infintesimal deal really count here, because between every .00000001 is a .000000001 and so on and so forth, ad infinitum) so each infintesimal change in the vibration manes each one can occuly the same space, but not bump eachother. Get it?
THAT's the Multiverse... all the dreams you ever had, all the books you ever read, and all the movies you wanted to live, are going on, right there. Just a vibration change away. And that's the ticket, isn't it? The ability to cross from one universe to another... that's what is exciting. Imagine it, a portal (conceivable, the technology could result with anything from a chamber like in "the Fly" to a doorway, to a car like the Delorian in Back to the future... to anything.. even a " raygun" or a Pill that you take.) to another universe. Of course, it would take a computer of unimaginable strength to locate the proper setting and vibration, but if it is possible, imagine inputting a description of the world you would most like to visit, and then traveling there. Now.. there are some flaws in that though. Imagine if people just popped out of mid air, here. We'd be screwed, because they might not have the needed skills to work right. Or a disease we cannot fight. and the same could be true for the worlds we travel to. BUT just knowing the possibility is there... to see honest-to-god magic, To see an X-wing flying across the sky in a celebratory flight, to fight at the speed of light against a martial artist, all that.. in a universe where physical law allows what isn't physically possible here... well it's definately thought provoking. There, of course, is the problem with returning.. it could be a one way trip.. unless we send a machine that can send you around through, first... well.. It's all up to the imagination, for now. Still, it's an intreguing though, ne? I hope you can see the Time-Travel reference in this tech-page. If not, read it again. Other than that.. Next time, I'll see if I can hit energy-weapons, or something nifty, like that.
