June 2005
July 1, 2005 Daniel used to ask us to make the brush size larger and smaller. He watched as we did it and in June figured out how to do it on his own, without being taught.
second phase of previous drawing
At this stage he was asking for the colors he wanted, and his favorite color was blue.
At this stage he was picking his own colors with the pen board from the color palette and started experimenting with other tools. After he got the rectangle, he asked for help to draw some squares.
Daniel truly did this completely and utterly on his own. There were about 20 photoshop layers. He just experimented with all the tools. (The background is probably done using the gradient tool, but how on earth did he do the foreground? It must be some feature of Photoshop I've never used, and I know it pretty well. --Douglas)
Douglas drew the glasses and the hair, and Daniel drew everything else. No offense intended to the picture.
