Films making fun of people with defects or disabilities are always going to be controversial and stuck on you has the added bonus of being largely unfunny. The film is about a pair of Siamese twins who live in a small town in America. Bob is very shy and quiet individual, happy with life as it is, whereas his brother Walt is far louder and more confident and wants to leave their small town existence to try and make it as an actor in Hollywood. Naturally this means Bob coming along as well and after a little coercing the pair set off. The plot then, is about their misadventures in LA with Walt trying to be taken seriously as an actor and Bob trying to get together with his long time internet girlfriend.
Around 90% of the films jokes are based on the fact that the brothers are conjoined and thus have to do everything together (showering, going to the toilet etc). I dont have any sort of moral objection to this but it does get quiet repetitive and banal after a while. It is also at odds with a half hearted effort by the writers to show the sort of prejudice and cruelty faced by conjoined twins in society.
There are some genuinely funny moments though, its a just a pity there couldnt be more variety. Overall I would describe it as a film to see when there isnt an awful lot else on (such as now).
