| For Jamie Foxx to step into the very big shoes of a music legend that is Ray Charles led me to doubt whether he could pull it off in Charles� biography. Undoubtedly Jamie Foxx is wonderful as the iconic singer- in fact he breathes Ray Charles- in this sensitive and spot on performance, from Charles� somewhat cheeky smile to his sharp mind. The film focus�s on Ray�s rise to fame, the women, the evident drug addiction to heroin and his family influence on his life. This film will confirm to the world once again that Ray Charles is a music marvel, an innovative figure in soul, gospel and R �n� B music. I�m sure this film will do well at the Oscars, it�s in the run for Best Picture as is Foxx for best actor. Yet without the Oscar �Ray� is doing something to Foxx�s career without a doubt. Jamie Foxx has shown everyone his enormous talent in this movie which could well turn him into a screen legend which seems fitting for a star in the making portraying one of music�s greatest icons. Well worth a watch!
