For the two people in the UK who havent already heard of it, Kill Bill is the latest film by Quentin Tarantino. It is about a retired assassin the bride, played by Uma Thurman -who has started hunting down her old boss and co-workers after they kill everyone at her wedding including her husband.
Regardless of what many other reviewers have said Kill Bill is actually a good film and by no means Tarantinos worst. On its own it stands almost as well as reservoir dogs did when it was released. Although not as groundbreaking it is just as extreme with gore by the bucket load in the fight scenes and the attempted rape of the lead character while she is in a coma.
In my own opinion the film would have been just as good without these aspects as they seem added on for their own sake. However, extremity is one the defining features of Tarantinos films for many people, making them stand out from other action/thriller movies.
So in short a decent film with some very stylish scenes but not one for the squeamish or those looking for complicated high brow plots.
