This is a good film. When it comes to the Harry Potter films, I always feel that people give them a hard time, and I will admit that until now they werent exactly the best around (mainly coming from quite abysmal acting). But this film is just great. Almost all the way through people are acting well and the whole environment and feeling of the book is present. Unlike the first two films, you get to see the characters being just kids much more; their uniforms arent on straight. The film is funny, well thought through and enjoyable. There are stupid things that are different from the book that will annoy people who really like the books, but they dont detract from the film as a separate entity. Whatever your thoughts are on Harry Potter as a whole, this is a fun 2 hours.

P.S. Im going to watch it again in a few weeks and think I will enjoy it a LOT more- I wont have annoying screaming people who shouldnt be allowed in cinemas. Taking 5 million in its first day is great on paper, but really not when youre watching the film.

Extras: Ive always had a slight problem with some of the games on the Harry Potter DVDs as theyre basically rubbish. This one is no exception. However, some of the other extras are gems. There are quite extensive interviews with Johnny Vaughn asking the questions, and also the really annoying talking head that shouldnt be allowed. Id say it ruins them, but it is just an annoying itch rather than anything more dire. The short documentaries on creating scenes and the animals they used are well done, and just long enough to not be boring, but still give over information. As long as youre paying around 14-15 then its worth it.
