Early Years

On the distant planet of Kalarba, in an orbiting space station, that his parents owned was born the first son in the famous Starwalker lineage. The parents of Lance and Cole owned a small but prosperous shipping and trading company, with dealing spread across the Galaxy. While Lance was content with learning and working in the family business Cole had dreams of valor, glory and power. Though they were close during there tender youth, Lance had always tried to be a good example for younger brother. He had begged and pleaded for his brother to reconsider joining what he viewed as an evil Empire and stay with him on Kalarba. At the age of 16 Cole took out on his own joining the Empire only to be heard from sparingly while on his personal quest. Lance on the other hand stayed behind, learning many skills from his family and private tutors.

Lance took to things with an uncanny skill and vision. The eldest son of a fairly wealthy family afforded him training in areas that most young boys never enjoyed. By the age of 16 Lance was an accomplished freighter and fighter pilot, learning on the best ships his family possessed, namely X-Wing fighter craft and Corellia StarDrive Courscant-class Heavy Courier transports. At the age of 18 Lance had finished schooling graduating from the top university on Kalarba with a degree in political science and a business minor. Proceeding on to the top law school, specializing in business law Lance graduated top of his class rounding out his education.

Things were going well for the entire Starwalker family with Lance, running his own small law practice while helping his family business, and his brother flourishing in a military career within the Empire, until one day tragedy struck. Still insisting on making runs for the business, Lances parents left one fateful evening for the last run they would ever make. Lance had pleaded with his parents that evening sighting the Empires allowance for pirate, and criminal activities that had plagued the shipping company with losses. However, his father and mother were too proud and the precious cargo too valuable to not make this run and ensure the name of there company. A group of murderous pirates struck the next day as the ships of the Starwalker family exited hyperspace.

This left Lance to notify his brother of the deaths. Blaming himself, and the Empire and its minions Lance was torn on his brothers life and choices. Soon his brother Cole returned and together the two brothers set out to restore the family business. Working together the two constantly bickered as there opposing beliefs clashed on almost everything but each other. One day Lance was approached by his younger, aggressive brother who informed him boastfully of what he had done. To Lances horror Cole informed him of taking the family vessels on runs to route out and destroy the pirates who had taken there parents. But the reaction Lance gave was not what Cole had hoped for. Terribly angered, Lance began shouting at his younger brother. To Lance the family ships and his brother were too valuable to loss on something so foolish as revenge. Cole had risked the lives of his friends, and employees and the family business on something so foolish as revenge. The two men argued inscently only reaching an agreement as Lance feared losing his brother forever.

However, the peace between the too did not last long. Cole who had left one man alive and had told the murdering pirate to look him if he lived, brought forth an attack on there home. When this man survived and the group of pirates attacked and Cole once again took to destroying their forces in a mad dash of vengeance. Once again horrified that his brother would act so foolishly with his life and their business Lance made the fateful mistake of throwing out a series of nasty insults. Not one to take verbal abuse from anyone, especially his older brother, Cole responded in kind. However, this time things between the two men would not be ironed out. Cole threatened to leave promising his brother that things like this would never happen again. Lance, to stubborn and angry, let his brother leave never to speak with him again.
