About me:
I was introduced to genealogy through volunteering with FamilySearch
as a young missionary in 2014. I took my newfound love of family history to college
and earned an Associate degree of Applied Science in Family History Research from
BYU-Idaho in 2018. I am currently pursuing an AG through ICAPGen, specializing in U.S. Mid-Atlantic.
Aside from researching, I am developing curricula to teach children genealogy. I am
passionate about introducing genealogy to the younger generation, and hope that
the children I teach develop a love for genealogy that they will carry with them throughout their lives.
I live in Orem, Utah with two roommates in a second-floor apartment. My hobbies
include gardening on my balcony, cooking, knitting, crocheting, and reading.
Breaking brick walls:
Are you stuck in your research? Overwhelmed by too much information?
Struggling to find any information? Unsure where to search next? I can help you.
Using my genealogy skills and training, I will begin by analyzing the records you
already have to look for clues. Then I will make a research plan based on those
clues and knowledge of the time and locality. I will then search for records
according to my research plan, documenting all searches. I will report my findings
and analysis, as well as negative searches, in a research report. The research
report will include recommendations for future research.
If I cannot break down your brick wall, I hope to leave you with a hammer or a
wrecking ball to break it down yourself.
