Original Unissued Zeltbahn
This foto is of an original unissued German WW2 Zeltbahn manufactured from WW2 era Italian camouflage.  This foto shows the 3 verticle seams needed to construct the zelt.  The Italian camouflage material was printed on narrower spools of fabric than was the German fabric.  The buttons on this example are all the steel 3 hole variety commonly found on other German produced zeltbahnen.  I have another original italian camo zelt in my collection but it is well worn.  This by far is one of my best examples of color & maker marked Italian camouflage in my entire collection.
Other Original German WW2 Camo
Here are a few examples of the other original German WW2 Zeltbahnen in my collection  Top row left to right; Waffen-SS Oak pattern Zeltbahn, Waffen-SS Plain Tree #5 zeltbahn, (on top of this zelt is a) Waffen-SS Type 1 Tarnhelmuberzueg in Oak and Plain Tree, Waffen-SS Plain Tree  #6 (overprint).
Bottom row pictured from left to right;  Pre war SS-VT Latteral pattern camouflage (field made rucksack), unissued Heer Splinter camo zelt, and a Fallschirmjaeger Rgt.5 marked Splinter camo zelt.
