| The captured stocks of Italian Camo fabric was turned into many different clothing items. Coveralls, trousers, jackets, parkas, triangular zeltbahns, m43 hats, and binocular covers were all routinely produced from this material. This material was not only issued to Waffen-SS units. Although it seems that many photos tend to show Italian Camo being worn by members of the LSSAH and Hitlerjugend Divisions, Heer and Luftwaffe units were also issued garments made from this fabric. | ||||||||||||||||||

| Original Type 2 fur Lined Parka This type parka featured a front closure that unbuttoned completely. The type 1 only unbuttoned to the waist and required the garment be pulled on and off over the head. Initially the garment was made to be worn over the equipment, like the type one Waffen SS camouflage smocks. This was impractical in front line combat areas. Period photographs show the equipment being worn over the parka. |

| Here is a reproduction m44 Tarnfeldbluse made from post war camouflage. Although this example shows the fabric is fading nicely the colors are very indicative of post war camoflage. Although this example is not in my collection, It appears the material may be an early course weave. | ||||||||||||||||||

| OK, here is one of the main reasons why I construced this website. I really don't know what the hell this is supposed to be! I assume it is the newer Italian Military Camouflage pattern (post 1990's) but I'm not sure. Unfortunately items like these are being offered for sale on eBay as original Italian camouflage. Just because the camouflage has green, brown, and yellow in it and it is cut like a German WW2 garment does not make it original Italian camouflage!!! Simply amazing!!! | ||||||||||||||||||
