I have been collecting WW2 Italian camouflage for the past 7+ years. Too many times I have stumbled across vendors on the internet, and a few auction based websites, selling what they claim to be "authentic WW2 Italian Camouflage". Some sellers are somewhat honest in their description but many are not. Whether it is through mis-information, a general lack of subject knowledge, or just plain deceptive selling practices, I do not know. Through this website I hope to show the different patterns, colors, fabric, and distinct characteristics of the authentic WW2 Italian Camo patterns and the various post war varients.
Please note, this website is not the "be all to end all" on the subject but it is intended as a guide to help the novice and beginning collector and or re-enactor spot the differences between what is authentic WW2 Italian Camouflage and what is not!!
Some post war Italian camo is perfectly acceptable to be used to make reproduction clothing from but most is not.
